Welcome 2020 Muirfield Club member:

Welcome to a new Muirfield Club season!!!  

 

  1. GHIN Handicap:  All of Washington State is changing over to the GHIN handicap system (EZ Links and all other handicap services are no longer supported by the USGA, only GHIN handicaps will be allowed for Muirfield Club competitions).   Your GHIN handicap fee will be included in the Muirfield Club application fee this year.  $155 for members $185 for non-Newcastle dues paying members.  ***NOTE:  we will be adopting the World Handicap System for all events for 2020 forward.  More information can be found here:  https://wagolf.org/keep-score/handicap-information/whs/

 

  1. Muirfield Club After-Golf Space:   We will have a reserved space for Muirfield Club on Thursday nights this season again.  (exact room and space is subject to change based on occupancy needs).  We will also be featuring a buffet style meal.  We will rotate through a specially prepared selection of meals each Thursday. This ensures everyone will have a place to sit and guarantee your meal will be hot and ready when you come off the golf course!  ***While under COVID19 restrictions- we are currently allowed to offer grab and go meals at Turnberrys***
     
  2. Special Events:  We will again feature 2 couples nights.  Find your partner for these fun 2 person Shamble formats, we will again have mixed couple and all male divisions but encourage you all to bring out your golfing significant other and show them how much fun Thursday nights are at Newcastle!  You will also see 2 Par 3 tournaments to start and finish the season!
     
  3. Muirfield Cup Matches:  The Muirfield Cup points and matches will be back for 2020.  The top 20 Muirfield Cup point earners will be invited to play in the Muirfield Cup Matches in late September.  Remember, you accumulate points simply by participating (bonus points are also awarded for cashing or winning in events).
     
  4. Lakeview Country Club:  We will be partnering with Lakeview Country Club this season and will be able to play in their featured weekend events throughout the summer!  Go to www.lakeview-golfclub.com for dates and details.
